James Chilton

Is my 11th great grandfather on the VARNEY side of my Tree and he was on the Mayflower, along with his wife and daughter. 

 His daughter Isabella was with him and she is the next descendant in our family line. 

 How cool is that!

James Chilton born probably in Canterbury, co. Kent, England bef. 1556 (ae 63 in 1619); died in Cape Cod Harbor (now Provincetown) aboard the Mayflower December 18, 1620; son of Lyonell Chylton. [Lyonell's second wife, the widow Isabell Furner, was not the mother of his children.]

He married in England bef 1587 possibly to Susanna Furner, daughter of his step-mother; his wife died in Plymouth shortly after in January 11, 1621.
