Welcome to my Family Website

My family surnames include Hess, Ward, Thacker and Varney, I have been researching for many years as well as interviewing my family members through the years.  I enjoy finding the links in our family and learning about where we come from. It just amazes me how so many people came together and survived throughout the years that we are here today. 

The family information section of this site is currently under construction and will be temporarily unavailable. You're still welcome to explore all other pages — but for now, the detailed family records are offline while I focus on something very close to my heart: my book series.

This work takes time, care, and deep attention, and I've realized I can't do both well at once. So for now, the site will stay this way — but it's not permanent. I fully expect things to evolve in the future, and I'll keep you posted when updates return.

I would like to get more information about your family and keep it up to date.  So, please send me news about births, weddings and deaths.  I want to know as much as possible and that includes your spouses family as well.  And, send pictures or share it on our facebook page.

I know that sometimes it feels I like I am just being nosy and so many just don't want to take the time to do this.  You don't realize how important it is to the future generations.  

I so wished I had more information about our ancestors.  I love learning about their lives, it's my way of getting to know them.  So, I really am not being nosy, I just want your future relatives to know you as much as possible.
